Drawing from her research in university business tech incubators and her practical experience mentoring early-stage founders, she will discuss how team composition, collaboration, and leadership roles shape startup outcomes. The session will also introduce the Belbin Team Roles framework and examine how gender and diversity affect teamwork within entrepreneurial settings. Through real examples and discussion, participants will gain insight into how effective team structures can foster innovation, resilience, and long-term business growth.

About Professor Anneke Edmonds

Professor Anneke Edmonds is an academic, entrepreneur, and start-up coach with extensive experience in strategic marketing, entrepreneurship education, and business incubation. She is currently Assistant Professor of Marketing and Entrepreneurship at Regent’s University London and the Founder of AI Compliance, Inc., a RegTech start-up developing audit tools for AI governance. Her career spans senior academic roles at Falmouth University, Northumbria University, and Lancaster University, where she has led entrepreneurship programmes, incubators, and international collaborations. She has also mentored numerous start-up founders and SMEs through her consultancy, Inbound Marketing Ltd. Professor Edmonds is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and the Chartered Institute of Marketing.
